The City of Baxter is proud to announce that we have been awarded $6,000 through Iowa Area Development Group's Ripple Effect grant program, made possible by Partner Communications Cooperative and their technology partner, Aureon, to assist with the development of our new comprehensive plan.
We are deeply grateful to Partner Communications, Aureon, for their partnership, as well as Jasper County Economic Development Corporation-JEDCO, ITC Holdings Corp., and Iowa Rural Development Council, for providing a total of $21,000 in grant funding for our upcoming comprehensive plan.
Comprehensive plans serve as a modern roadmap for future land use, housing, economic development, and infrastructure. They are a vital tool for cities of all sizes, but rural communities often struggle to fund them.
We are grateful to our partners for recognizing the importance of strong rural communities like Baxter, the heartbeat of Iowa, and for helping us ensure that our residents’ investment continues to work harder for them.
