We’re excited to welcome Deputy Daehler to Baxter as our new full-time deputy through the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Daehler will officially begin serving Baxter in August, but you can meet him this Saturday during the Fire Department Breakfast and at the Baxter Fun Days Parade!
Deputy Daehler grew up just outside of Newton and spent much of his time in Baxter with close friends. His wife is a native of Baxter, and he’s proud to have long-standing ties to the community.
After a decade working in the HVAC industry and volunteering as a firefighter, Deputy Daehler felt called to make a greater impact through law enforcement. He joined the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office to serve communities like ours, ones he already knows and cares about.
Deputy Daehler shared that he understands the important role local law enforcement plays in a town like Baxter. He’s excited to build trust, provide a visible and responsive presence, and help lead the long-term partnership between our city and the Sheriff’s Office.
When he’s not on duty (or fighting fires), Deputy Daehler enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and kids, fishing, hiking, and playing disc golf.
Let’s give Deputy Daehler a warm Baxter welcome!
